CITY STORM DEBRIS CLEAN-UP DAYS SET
Due to the recent storm, the City of Eastland will waive fees and appointments for residents who need to remove debris from their homes. On Monday, April 7 the City Convenience Center will be open 9-12 and 1-2:30 and will be accepting BRUSH ONLY. No appointments are necessary.
On Wednesday, April 9 and Friday, April 11, the Convenience Center will accept brush, trash and any wood fence materials at no charge during this time, and with an appointment. The hours will be 9:00-12 and 1-2:30
On Saturday, April 12 the Convenience Center will be open from 9 until 3 and no appointments will be required for brush and other wood debris or trash.
The Convenience Center will not accept roofing shingles, sheet rock, concrete, tires, paint or paint products, ac units, freon appliances, oils, flammable liquids or hazardous materials, automotive or engine parts, and any other construction materials.
The Convenience Center is for City of Eastland RESIDENTIAL properties with a valid City of Eastland utility account.
A valid City of Eastland utility bill MUST be presented to dump items at the Convenience Center.
COMMERCIAL CLEAN-UP SERVICES MAY NOT USE THE CONVENIENCE CENTER AT ANY TIME.

WHEREAS, the City of Eastland on the 3rd of April, 2025, has suffered widespread or severe damage and loss of property
WHEREAS, severe winds damaged residential, commercial and municipal structures in the City,
WHEREAS, the City of Eastland has determined that extraordinary measures must be taken to alleviate the suffering of people and to protect or rehabilitate property,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE Mayor of Eastland, that a local state of disaster is hereby declared for the City of Eastland pursuant to §418.108{a) of the Texas Government Code.
Pursuant to §418.108{b) of the Texas Government Code, the state of disaster shall continue for a period of not more than seven days from the date of this declaration unless continued or renewed by the Eastland City Commission.
Pursuant to §418.108(c) of the Texas Government Code, this declaration of a local state of disaster shall be given prompt and general publicity and shall be filed promptly with the City Secretary.
Pursuant to §418.108(d) of the Texas Government Code, this declaration of a local state of disaster activates the City emergency management plan.
That this proclamation shall take effect immediately from and after its issuance. ORDERED this 4thof April, 2025.

WATER MAIN LEAK CAUSES OUTAGE EAST OF LEON RIVER
The City of Eastland is working a major water leak that has caused an outage to all customers east of the Leon River. All other customers are asked to curtail usage until repairs are made. 02/26/2025

Customers listed in the areas below will be without water on Wednesday, 1/22/2025, due to a line replacement.
The shut down will be 4-6 hours (estimate) unless something happens that we are not expecting.
