“All powers of the City of Eastland, Texas, except as in this Charter denied or restricted, shall be vested in and executed by a Board of Commissioners to consist of Five Members, elected as hereinafter provided for, which Commissioners shall be known and designated as the Board of Commissioners of the City of Eastland, Texas.” – Eastland City Charter
COMMISSION MEETINGS:
The Board of Commissioners of the City of Eastland, Texas will elect one of its members as chairman (Mayor). The Eastland City Commission regular meetings are at 6:00 PM on the third Monday of each month, unless it falls on a Monday holiday.  They will have called or emergency meetings as required.  All meetings are open to the public and the agendas and announcements are posted in accordance with the State of Texas Open Meetings Act.  A majority of the Board is necessary to constitute a quorum for conducting business.
